The Lost Coast Caper June 11, 2018

You’ve uncovered clues that may lead to a buried treasure hidden somewhere in Humboldt County. Can you work in a team to solve a series of puzzles before time runs out and the treasure is lost forever? This interactive learning experience will take place in the HSU Library Special Collections, allowing for a rich exploration of primary sources unique to Humboldt County and Northwestern California. Solve the puzzles and access the treasure before time runs out!

Defeat the Tweet! June 19, 2018

You’ve noticed that lately your social media account is littered with misleading, inaccurate, and outright false information. One culprit in particular, @Dishonest_Abe, seems to thrive on spreading bad information online. This activity/session will enable you to formulate a response to erroneous tweets before they deceive the masses. Research the truth and cite sources to defeat the tweet! #bringdowndishonestabe

Match Game July 12, 2018

Excitement and laughter await in this HSU Library edition of the popular game show. Participants will work in teams to match the answers provided by a panel of HSU faculty, staff and students. Attendees are welcome to participate or enjoy the session as a member of the studio audience.

Trivia for Cheaters July 24, 2018

In a normal trivia game, players aren’t allowed to use the internet to find the answer. In this version, players have to use it. The questions will be more tricky than the average Google question, leading players on fact-finding missions to see who can solve the questions the quickest. Can your team be the trivia champs?

Teams of 1-5 players will work together to solve trivia questions.
